Responsible Gambling
Wagering is entertainment, not income. TABtooch is committed to keeping it that way: free controls in every account, no inducements, staff trained to spot harm, and exclusions honoured without argument. This page covers deposit limits, breaks, activity statements, self-exclusion and where to get help.
01 Our commitment
As a statutory authority, Racing and Wagering Western Australia has an obligation to run wagering that does not exploit its customers. In practice that means we prevent access by anyone under 18, we require a deposit limit at sign-up, we offer no inducements to bet, we train staff in the responsible service of wagering, we watch for patterns that suggest harm and act on them, and we make it easy to stop.
02 The messages we display
These approved consumer-protection messages appear across our service, one at a time:
- Chances are you're about to lose.
- Think. Is this a bet you really want to place?
- What's gambling really costing you?
- What are you prepared to lose today? Set a deposit limit.
- Imagine what you could be buying instead.
- What are you really gambling with?
Gambling Help Online is free, confidential and open 24 hours a day on 1800 858 858 or at gamblinghelponline.org.au. BetStop, the National Self-Exclusion Register, is at betstop.gov.au. Lifeline is on 13 11 14.
03 Understanding the odds
Over time the odds favour the operator — that is how a wagering business works. No system, tip or strategy changes that, and a run of wins does not mean the next bet is more likely to land. Only ever stake money you can afford to lose, decide your limit before you start, and never bet to win back what you have lost.
04 Signs that wagering is becoming a problem
It is worth taking seriously if you:
- bet with money you need for something else;
- spend more time or money on it than you planned;
- chase losses with further bets;
- hide your betting from family or friends, or lie about it;
- feel restless, anxious or irritable when you are not betting;
- borrow money to bet, or to cover what betting has cost;
- have tried to cut back and could not;
- miss work, study or family commitments because of it;
- use it to escape stress, boredom or low mood.
None of this makes you unusual, and help is free and confidential. Gambling Help Online is free, confidential and open 24 hours a day on 1800 858 858 or at gamblinghelponline.org.au. BetStop, the National Self-Exclusion Register, is at betstop.gov.au. Lifeline is on 13 11 14.
05 Deposit limits
A deposit limit caps what you can put into your account over a set period. It is the single most effective control we offer, and setting one is a required step when you open an account.
Choose an amount and whether it applies per day, per week or per calendar month. Once the limit is reached, no further deposit is accepted until the period resets, no matter how the deposit is attempted.
Reductions take effect immediately. Increases are held for a seven-day cooling-off period and require positive confirmation, so a decision made mid-session cannot raise your exposure on the spot. Your existing limit stays in force until the new one begins.
Change your limit in your account settings at any time, or ask us at support@tabtooch.mobi. We confirm the change and the date it takes effect in writing. If you want a complete pause, a deposit break blocks deposits for a fixed period while your account stays open for withdrawals and to settle open bets.
06 Activity statements
Every calendar month we make available, by email and in your account, a statement showing:
- total deposits during the period;
- total stakes placed;
- total returns received;
- your net position — returns less stakes;
- a comparison against the previous period; and
- your current deposit limit and any change made during the period.
Individual sessions are easy to misremember, and wins are easier to recall than losses. A monthly statement replaces the impression with the arithmetic. If the net figure is not what you expected, that is the moment to review your limit. Ask us for a statement covering any period since your account was opened — there is no charge.
07 Pre-commitment
Pre-commitment means deciding your limits in advance, while your judgement is clear, rather than in the middle of a session. A decision made before you start is far easier to keep than one made during a losing run, when the temptation to recover losses is strongest. That asymmetry is exactly why increases wait and reductions do not.
- Every customer sets a deposit limit when opening an account. This is required, not optional.
- A reduction to a limit applies immediately.
- An increase is subject to a cooling-off period and requires positive confirmation.
- We offer no inducements that would reward you for exceeding what you planned to spend.
You can also turn off all direct marketing in your account settings, by using the unsubscribe link in any message, or by registering with BetStop. We action opt-outs promptly and never require a phone call to do it.
08 Taking a break
You can suspend your account for a fixed period — for example 24 hours, seven days, 30 days, 90 days or six months. During a break you cannot deposit or bet. Your account stays open so you can withdraw and so open bets can settle. Reality reminders can also be switched on to show how long a session has been running.
09 Self-exclusion
Self-exclusion closes off your access to wagering for a period you choose, including permanently. We make it straightforward, we honour it, and we do not try to talk you out of it.
Excluding from TABtooch
Request self-exclusion from your account settings or by emailing support@tabtooch.mobi. Choose three months, six months, one year, five years or permanently. Once it takes effect we close the account to new bets and deposits, settle or refund open bets, return your withdrawable balance to a verified method in your own name, and remove you from every marketing list. An exclusion cannot be reversed before the chosen period ends. A permanent exclusion can be reviewed only after a minimum period and a cooling-off process, and reinstatement is never automatic.
Excluding from every licensed provider — BetStop
BetStop is the free Australian Government National Self-Exclusion Register. One registration excludes you from all licensed Australian online and telephone wagering providers for a minimum of three months, up to a lifetime. While you are registered, no provider may open an account for you, accept a bet from you, or send you marketing. Register at betstop.gov.au.
Making it stick
Exclusion works better alongside a few practical changes: install blocking software on your devices, ask your bank about a gambling block on your debit card, hand day-to-day money management to someone you trust for a while, and arrange free financial counselling if debt is involved. Gambling Help Online is free, confidential and open 24 hours a day on 1800 858 858 or at gamblinghelponline.org.au. BetStop, the National Self-Exclusion Register, is at betstop.gov.au. Lifeline is on 13 11 14.
10 Preventing underage wagering
It is against the law for anyone under 18 to open a wagering account or place a bet in Australia, and an offence to bet on behalf of a minor or let one use your account.
An age confirmation is required before the site can be used. Age and identity are verified against official records before a first bet is accepted. The 18+ mark appears throughout the site and in every advertisement, and our marketing is not directed at people under 18 or placed where it is likely to reach them. Where we find that an account belongs to a person under 18, we close it, void the bets, return deposits as the law requires and report the matter as required by the regulator.
At home: keep your login and payment details private, log out after use, and do not let a child watch you bet or place a bet on your behalf. Filtering software helps — Microsoft Family Safety, Apple Screen Time, Google Family Link, or network-level filtering. If you believe someone under 18 is using our service, contact us immediately at support@tabtooch.mobi. We treat these reports as urgent.

12 Help for family and friends
If someone close to you is being harmed by gambling, you can call Gambling Help Online on 1800 858 858 for free advice, whether or not they know you are calling. You can also contact us to ask about the exclusion options available to them, and financial counselling through the National Debt Helpline is free and independent.
13 Financial controls we apply
We provide no line of credit and accept no credit cards, so you can only bet with money you already hold. Deposits must come from an account in your own name. Deposit limits, breaks and self-exclusion put a hard ceiling on exposure, and we do not offer inducements that encourage a bigger stake.
