Help Answers to the common questions

Help and frequently asked questions

The things people ask most, answered properly. If your question is not here, contact us — support is staffed 6:00am – 12:00am AWST, seven days.

01 How do I open an account?

Choose "Open an account", then enter your full legal name, email address, date of birth and the Australian state or territory you live in, and set a deposit limit. You must be 18 or over and located in Australia. The whole thing takes a few minutes, and you can log in as soon as it is done.

02 Who operates TABtooch and who regulates it?

TABtooch is the wagering brand of Racing and Wagering Western Australia, ABN 21 347 055 603, based at 114 Hasler Road, Osborne Park, Western Australia. Wagering is regulated by Racing, Gaming and Liquor within the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries in Western Australia. The licence number is published in the footer of every page.

03 Why do you need to verify my identity?

Australian law requires a licensed wagering operator to confirm your name, date of birth and address before accepting your first bet. Most checks are done electronically against your details. If that does not return a match we will ask for a document such as a driver licence or passport, and for larger or unusual activity we may ask about the source of your funds.

04 How can I deposit and withdraw?

Deposits can be made by debit card, PayID, BPAY or bank transfer, and with Apple Pay or Google Pay when they are linked to a debit card. Credit cards and any form of credit are not accepted for wagering. Withdrawals are paid only to a verified account in your own name, and your bank may take a further one to three business days to show the money.

05 How do decimal odds and returns work?

Your potential return is your stake multiplied by the price, and it includes your stake. A $10 bet at 2.50 returns $25, which is $15 profit. The price that applies is the one shown on your slip when the bet is accepted, not the price displayed when you first looked at the market.

06 What is the difference between the tote and fixed odds?

A fixed-odds bet locks in the price at the moment the bet is accepted. A tote bet goes into a pool with everyone else backing that race, and the dividend is worked out after the race from the pool and the number of winning units. You know your return in advance with fixed odds; with the tote you do not.

07 Why are there no sign-up offers?

Inducements to open an account, to deposit more or to refer a friend are restricted for licensed operators in Western Australia and constrained nationally under the National Consumer Protection Framework. We do not offer them at all. What we do offer is described on the "What we offer" page and is available to every eligible customer on the same terms.

08 How do I set or change a deposit limit?

You set one when you open your account and can change it at any time in your account settings. A reduction takes effect immediately. An increase is held for a seven-day cooling-off period first, so a decision made in the middle of a session cannot raise your exposure straight away.

09 How do I take a break or stop altogether?

You can suspend your account for a set period, or self-exclude with us for three months up to permanently, by contacting support. To exclude yourself from every licensed Australian online and telephone wagering provider in one step, register with BetStop, the National Self-Exclusion Register, at betstop.gov.au. It is free and run by the Australian Government.

10 What happens if an event is abandoned or a runner is scratched?

If a sports event is abandoned or postponed and is not completed within 48 hours, affected bets are void and stakes returned unless a specific market rule says otherwise. A scratched runner is refunded, and deductions may be applied to fixed-odds racing markets in line with the official rules of racing. The detail is in our Betting Rules.

11 How do I make a complaint?

Email support with your account reference, the date of the issue and what outcome you are looking for. We acknowledge complaints within two business days and aim to give a final written response within 14 days. If you are not satisfied you can take it to the regulator free of charge — the full process, with contact details, is on our Complaints and Disputes page.

12 Can I hold more than one account?

No. One account per person, in your own legal name. Duplicate accounts may be closed and associated bets voided. If you have lost access to an existing account, contact support rather than opening a new one.

Still stuck?

Email support with your account reference and we will pick it up from there. Written contact gives you a record of what was said.
